merry xmas

walking in the neighborhood, full of gigantic extravagant ornaments all all over, late on xmas eve. a bit sick, went crazy with bike riding in the middle of the night, the muscle pain from riding bike helps with the sickness.

moments

“This is a disaster,“ José Arcadio BuendÍa said. “Look at the air, lisyen to the buzzing of the sun,the same as yesterday and the day before. Today is Monday too.“ - One Hundred Years of Solitude

sometimes it's just a torture, between extremes, an absolute frustration and ultimate victory. i have to name this little fella i picked up what feels like a long time ago.

moments

The woman of every day, the one with her head held high and with a stony gait, did not arrive, but an old woman of supernatural beauty with a yellowed ermine cape, a crown of gilded cardboard, and the languid look of a person who wept in secret. - One Hundred Years of Solitude, Gabriel García Márquez

at Pick Me up in East Village. seems someone left a doodling and the owner decided to post it on a wall. i recognized Korean letters in one corner, and for some reason took this shot with my cell phone. strangely all of their candles were like the second photo. i thought it made a beautifully surreal scene against their old walls and other objects.

Joanna

here is another photograph of Joanna in color. in this shot, although Joanna looks cuter than the B/W one below, she has a strange quality that makes her look cold and even arrogant.
